I NOTICE everything

How My OCD Became My Secret Superpower:
One Man’s Journey from Chaos to Clarity.

FINAL.png

I Notice everything is a heartfelt memoir that traces one man’s lifelong journey with OCD—from the childhood rituals that quietly shaped his world to the adult routines that once felt like chains but later became keys to strength. Through humor, raw honesty, and unflinching vulnerability, Tony Blancato reveals how he transformed hyper-awareness, a deep need for order, and an unyielding drive for excellence into powerful assets for career wins, richer relationships, and small, meaningful victories in daily life. Blending personal storytelling with practical, hard-earned wisdom, each chapter closes with gentle, story-driven invitations to experiment with the same small shifts that helped him—like the 60-second email rule or reframing an OCD trait as a hidden strength. Written without clinical jargon or a rigid step-by-step program, the book offers real-life moments, genuine laughs, and the quiet, hard-won triumph of taking the wheel and steering your own brain toward a life that finally feels whole. It’s an encouraging companion for anyone who has ever felt ‘wired differently’—and for those who love and support someone who does.

"My biggest blessing and my biggest curse: I notice everything."

The Story Behind the Story

Tony Blancato is a husband, father, businessman, and lifelong observer who’s spent decades turning his OCD from a daily battle into a quiet superpower. From an early age, he found himself noticing things other people seemed to miss—patterns, details, small shifts in the world around him. What once felt overwhelming eventually became something he learned to understand, manage, and even appreciate.

Over the years, Tony discovered that the very traits that made life challenging at times also gave him a unique lens on everyday experiences. His tendency to observe everything—sometimes a little too closely—shaped how he approaches work, relationships, and the small moments that make up daily life.

Several years ago, Tony wrote and self-published a lighthearted rhyme book for his young sons, a project born from bedtime routines and the joy of making them laugh. That experience planted a small seed: the realization that writing could be another way to make sense of the world he sees so clearly.

When he’s not noticing everything (and occasionally over-noticing), Tony cherishes time with his wife, two sons, and close friends—savoring life’s simple moments at home in his comfort zone. And if he’s not there, you’ll likely find him on the golf course, trading jokes and friendly roasts with his buddies.

I Notice Everything is his first full-length book, born from a desire to share what it’s like to live inside a mind that rarely stops observing—and how learning to steer that unique wiring helped him build a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and whole.

"I like being alone. I have control over my own space. Therefore, in order to win me over, your presence has to be better than my solitude. You're not competing with another person; you're competing with my comfort zone."

A Different Kind of Story

happy dreams rhyme.jpg

A few years back, I wrote The Happy Dreams Rhyme for my two sons, when they were just little boys, to make bedtime a little easier.

It reassured them that their dreams would be happy ones, helping the darkness feel a bit brighter.

Over time, the rhyme became almost magical, bringing calm and peace as they drifted off to sleep.

I hope it brings the same comfort and joy to the little ones in your life.
